Removal [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

- SECURE VEHICLE
- Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.
*a Transmission Control Select Cable *b Transmission Control Shift Cable - Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly.
- Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control select cable.NOTE:
Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.
- Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.NOTE:
- Do not rotate the nut excessively as the internal spring may jump out and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.
- Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.
- Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly in the same manner as the transmission control select cable.
- Remove the 2 clips (A) to disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.
- Remove the 2 clips (B) to disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control cable bracket assembly.
- Remove the nut.
- Disengage the guide and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle body.
- Remove the 2 nuts and transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle body.
- Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.
