Data Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter [09/2019 - 04/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK MODEL

  2. CHECK NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the x2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the x1 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      x2-2 (US1-) - x1-9 (UDO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      x2-3 (US1+) - x1-10 (UDO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      x2-5 (USG1) - x1-12 (UJSS) Always Below 1 Ω
      x2-2 (US1-) or x1-9 (UDO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      x2-3 (US1+) or x1-10 (UDO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      x2-5 (USG1) or x1-12 (UJSS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2019 - 04/2020]

    REPLACE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2019 - 04/2020] 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the I115 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the I114 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I115-2 (US1-) - I114-9 (UDO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I115-3 (US1+) - I114-10 (UDO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I115-5 (USG1) - I114-12 (UJSS) Always Below 1 Ω
      I115-2 (US1-) or I114-9 (UDO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I115-3 (US1+) or I114-10 (UDO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I115-5 (USG1) or I114-12 (UJSS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
