Caution / Notice / Hint

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the battery removal/installation are shown below.

NOTE:
  • After the ignition switch is turned off, ECM and the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Valvematic system*, Navigation System and Audio and Visual System (for Gasoline Model))
  • When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions and same capacity or more from the same class at a 20-hour rate.
  1. *: If the above contents are not observed, the MIL may illuminate the next time the engine is started.
