Microphone Circuit [09/2019 - 04/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK MICROPHONE AND VOICE RECOGNITION (INPUT TO NAVIGATION ECU) 
    1. Enter the "Microphone Check" screen. Refer to Check Microphone (Input to navigation ECU) in Operation Check.

    2. When voice is input into the microphone, check that the microphone input level meter changes according to the input voice.

    1. Disconnect the I56 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (OUTPUT TO RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Connect the I56 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Connect the T6 map light assembly connector.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
    4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 6 (MCO+) and 5 (MCO-) of the T6 map light assembly connector.

    5. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.

    4. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
    5. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 6 (MCO+) and 5 (MCO-) of the T6 map light assembly connector.

    5. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 16 (MCO+) and 32 (MCO-) of the I143 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
