DTC P2BF4-12: Exhaust Flow Control Valve "A" Position Circuit High Circuit Short to Battery [09/2024 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)

(to Exhaust Pipe Gas Control Actuator Sub-assembly)HINT:
Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.
- Disconnect the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O173-1 (RHVC) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V HINT:
If the value differs from standard, there may be a short in the power source circuit.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY- BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O173-2 (RHE2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Result

REPLACE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM)
- Disconnect the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O173-2 (RHE2) - C143-55 (EEXA) Always Below 1 Ω Result

- Disconnect the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
