Removal [01/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Removable Headrest) 
    1. Remove the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.
  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback) 
    1. Remove the rear seat center headrest assembly.
  3. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT CENTER LAP TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the rear seat center lap type belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      Insert Screwdriver Here
  4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Fold the rear seatback assembly LH forward.
    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners.

      Fastener
    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. for Sedan:
      1. Pass the rear seat center lap type belt assembly through the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

    2. Fold the rear seatback assembly RH forward.
    3. Disengage the 2 fasteners.

      Fastener
    4. Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear seatback assembly RH.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hooks when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

      *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      Place Hand Here
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)

      Standard Measurement

      Area Measurement
      A 40 mm (1.57 in.)
    2. Disengage the rear seat cushion frame hook on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 
    1. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Lift the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seat cushion lock hooks.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to hold the parts of the seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion frame hooks when lifting it. Lifting a different part of the cushion may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Front Side)
      *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      Place Hand Here
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)

      Standard Measurement

      Area Measurement
      A 134 mm (5.28 in.)
    3. Disengage the rear seat cushion frame hook on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.
    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
