DTC P0745-12: Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Circuit Short to Battery [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND TRANSMISSION WIRE (TRANSMISSION WIRE (SOLENOID (SL1) VALVE) - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C41-8 (SL1+) or C41-7 (SL1-) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  2. REPLACE ECM 
    1. Replace the ECM.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    PERFORM REGISTRATION 

    Refer to REGISTRATION [11/2018 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C30-17 (SL1+) or C41-8 (SL1+) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C30-16 (SL1-) or C41-7 (SL1-) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL1) VALVE 
    1. Remove the solenoid (SL1) valve.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Solenoid (SL1) Valve)

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Solenoid (SL1) valve connector terminal 1 - terminal 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery with a 21 W bulb to terminal 1 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the solenoid valve connector. Check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SOLENOID (SL1) VALVE
