DTC B15DB: Telematics Transceiver Disconnected [08/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 90 seconds.
    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER] POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to DCM [Telematics Transceiver])
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G131-20 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G131-1 (+B) - G131-20 (E) Ignition switch off 10.5 to 16 V*1
      11 to 14 V*2
      G131-19 (IG2) - G131-20 (E) Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V*1
      11 to 14 V*2
      1. *1: w/ Stop and Start System
      2. *2: w/o Stop and Start System

      Result

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER]) 
    1. Disconnect the G1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G131 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-10 (USBV) - G131-15 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-11 (USBG) - G131-31 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-10 (USBV) or G131-15 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-11 (USBG) or G131-31 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-11 (USBG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G1-10 (USBV) - G1-11 (USBG) Ignition switch ON 4.75 to 5.25 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT TELEPHONE ECU WIRE (TO TRANSCEIVER) (DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER] - NAVIGATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the telephone ECU wire (to Transceiver) connector from the DCM (telematics transceiver).

      (to Navigation ECU)
    2. Disconnect the telephone ECU wire (to Transceiver) connector from the navigation ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G134-2 (USB+) - G124-1 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G134-1 (USB-) - G124-2 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G134-3 (USBS) - G124-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      G134-2 (USB+) or G124-1 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G134-1 (USB-) or G124-2 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G134-3 (USBS) or G124-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TELEPHONE ECU WIRE (TO TRANSCEIVER). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Replace the DCM (telematics transceiver) with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 90 seconds.
    5. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER] IS DEFECTIVE)

    NG

  7. CHECK NAVIGATION ECU 
    1. Replace the navigation ECU with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 10/2022]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 90 seconds.
    5. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (NAVIGATION ECU IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022]
