DTC B15C0: GPS Antenna Connection Malfunction(short); DTC B15C1: GPS Antenna Connection Malfunction(break) [11/2018 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2019 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

  2. INSPECT NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the navigation antenna assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

    2. Inspect the navigation antenna assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - 10/2022]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the antenna connector from the navigation antenna assembly.

      (to Navigation Antenna Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 2 Antenna Cord Sub-assembly)
    2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-3 - B-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      A-3a - B-6a Always Below 1 Ω
      A-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the antenna connector from the antenna cord sub-assembly.

      (to Antenna Cord Sub-assembly)

      (to Navigation ECU)
    2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the navigation ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B-6 - C-1 (GPS) Always Below 1 Ω
      B-6a - C-1a Always Below 1 Ω
      B-6 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 10/2022]
