Precaution [02/2019 - 12/2021]

  1. PRECAUTION FOR BULB REPLACEMENT 
    1. Always prepare a new bulb for immediate replacement. While replacing a bulb, the lens may attract dust and moisture if removed from the vehicle for a long time.
    2. Always replace a bulb with another bulb of the same wattage.
    3. If only replacing the bulb on one side, differences in brightness and lighting color between the right and left sides may occur.
    4. Securely install the socket after bulb replacement. The lens may become cloudy or the light cavity may fill with water through gaps around the socket if the socket is not installed securely.
  2. PRECAUTION FOR HEADLIGHT BEAM AXIS ADJUSTMENT 
    1. Do not use the cover for 3 minutes or more when the headlight is illuminated.

      The headlight outer lens is made of synthetic resin, which may melt or be damaged due to excessive heat.

  3. PRECAUTIONS FOR AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. If any of the following are performed, it is necessary to initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 12/2021] 

      • Replacement of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH
      • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH
      • Work that changes the vehicle height such as replacement of suspension components
  4. PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 12/2021] 

    2. If the headlight assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 12/2021] 

  5. PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING PARTS 
    1. If replacing any of the following parts, refer to the Smart Key System (for Start Function).

      Refer to REGISTRATION [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to REGISTRATION [10/2019 - 12/2021]

      1. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
      2. Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly
