DTC B009B-84: Left Side Restraints Sensor 5 Signal Below Allowable Range [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

• Turn the ignition switch off.

  *1	Side Airbag Pressure Sensor RH
  *2	Airbag ECU Assembly
  *3	Wire Harness

• Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
• Interchange the side airbag pressure sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.
• Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
• Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

• Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

  Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

  Result

Post-procedure1

• Turn the ignition switch off.

Result:

• Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

• Check for DTCs.

  Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

  B009B-84 and B009E-84 are not output	C

  HINT: 

  Codes other than DTCs B009B-84 and B009E-84 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

Post-procedure1

• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
• Return the side airbag pressure sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

Result:

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - 03/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2023 - ]

REPLACE SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2022 - 03/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2023 - ]
