Inspection [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Measure the resistance between connector terminals.
*a Component without harness connected
(Light Control Rheostat)- - Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 6 Bright switch OFF 1 MΩ or more Bright switch ON Less than 1 Ω 4 - 6 Always Approx. 4, 710 Ω 5 - 6 Light control rheostat upward fully open Approx. 510 Ω Light control rheostat downward fully open Approx. 4, 610 Ω Replace the light control rheostat if it is found defective.
- Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.NOTE:
- When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side.
- Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3Illumination comes on Replace the light control rheostat if it is found defective.
- Measure the resistance between connector terminals.
