DTC P05A2-12: Active Grille Air Shutter "A" Circuit Short to Battery [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the GTS, confirm the vehicle conditions recorded in the Freeze Frame Data which were present when the DTC was stored.

   Powertrain > Engine > DTC(P05A2-12) > Freeze Frame Data 

   Tester Display
   Battery Voltage

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   The value of Battery Voltage is less than 18 V	A
   The value of Battery Voltage is 18 V or more	B

GO TO CHARGING SYSTEM 

Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2023 - ]

1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / Switch Grille Shutter Control Mode.

   Powertrain > Engine > Utility 

   Tester Display
   Switch Grille Shutter Control Mode

6. According to the display on the Techstream, change the grille shutter control mode from normal mode to maintenance mode.

   Result

   Proceed to

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / Grille Shutter Initialization.

   Powertrain > Engine > Utility 

   Tester Display
   Grille Shutter Initialization

5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform initialization (nominal torque).

   Result

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTCs.

   Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

   HINT:

6. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
