Check Bus 3 Lines for Short Circuit [02/2019 - 10/2019]: Description

There may be a short circuit between the CAN main bus wire and/or CAN branch lines when the resistance between terminals 6 (CA3H) and 21 (CA3L) or 19 (CAYH) and 20 (CAYL) of the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) is below 54 Ω.

Symptom Trouble Area
  • Resistance between terminals 6 (CA3H) and 21 (CA3L) of the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) is below 54 Ω.
  • Resistance between terminals 19 (CAYH) and 20 (CAYL) of the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) is below 54 Ω.
  • Short in CAN main bus wire
  • Short in CAN branch wire
  • Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
  • Bus buffer ECU*1
  • Radio and display receiver assembly*2
  • DCM (telephone transceiver assembly)*3
  • No. 5 CAN junction connector
