Open in Bus 2 Main Bus Line [02/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the No. 3 CAN junction connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 3 CAN Junction Connector)      		 *b to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU)
      *c to ECM - -
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      G103-1 (CANH) - G103-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)
      G103-3 (CANH) - G103-13 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω ECM

    REPLACE NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G103 No. 3 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.

      (to Central Gateway ECU [Network Gateway ECU])
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G72-18 (CA4H) - G72-17 (CA4L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (ECM - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G103 No. 3 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A24-8 (CANH) - A24-18 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS WIRE OR CONNECTOR (ECM - NO. 3 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR)
