Open in Bus 1 Main Bus Line [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the No. 2 CAN junction connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 2 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to No. 8 CAN Junction Connector
      *c to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) - -
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      G102-3 (CANH) - G102-13 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 8 CAN junction connector
      G102-8 (CANH) - G102-18 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)

      Result

      NG (No. 8 CAN junction connector CAN main wire) C

    REPLACE NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G102 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.

      (to Central Gateway ECU [Network Gateway ECU])
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G72-23 (CA1H) - G72-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU [NETWORK GATEWAY ECU] - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the G102 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the No. 8 CAN junction connector.

      (to No. 8 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to No. 2 CAN Junction Connector
      *c to No. 1 CAN Junction Terminal - -
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      N53-1 (CANH) - N53-7 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 2 CAN junction connector
      N53-4 (CANH) - N53-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 1 CAN junction terminal

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NO. 1 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL - NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the N53 No. 8 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the No. 1 CAN junction terminal connector.

      (to No. 1 CAN Junction Terminal)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N54-3 (CANH) - N54-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE NO. 1 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL
