DTC B1497: Communication Malfunction (Bus Ic) [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SERVO PULSE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.
- Check the operation by referring to the table below.

- CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
*a Component without harness connected
(Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly) - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (BUS G) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 (BUS G) - 4 (B BUS) Power switch off 11 to 14 V - Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
