Precaution [02/2019 - 10/2023]
- PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM
- When using the Techstream with the power switch off, connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. Then select the vehicle type under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key. While using the Techstream, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the Techstream and the vehicle.

- PRECAUTIONS FOR ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- The electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is a precision instrument. Be sure to observe the following:
- Do not subject the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to strong physical shocks.
- Do not keep the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly in a high temperature area for a long time.
- Do not use an ultrasonic washing machine to clean the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
- Do not use the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly near any magnets or magnetized items.
- Do not place the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly near magnetic equipment, such as digital audio players, induction cookers, medical devices that generate low-frequency electromagnetic waves, etc.
- Do not attach any stickers to the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.
- Do not disassemble the electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies.
- The mechanical key should only be used in an emergency, such as when the transmitter battery is depleted.
- The electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is a precision instrument. Be sure to observe the following:
- NOTICE FOR CHECKING WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
- Operation conditions
This wireless door lock control function operates only when the following 3 conditions are met:
- The power switch is off.
- All doors are closed.
- The power door lock control system is operating properly.
HINT:
The unlock function operates even when a door is open.
- The size of the wireless door lock control operation area differs depending on the situation.
- The size of the operation area differs depending on the user and the way the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is held.
- In certain areas, the wireless door lock control function will only operate partially for the operation area, which will be reduced due to the vehicle body shape and the influence of the surrounding environment.
- Since the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly uses weak radio waves, strong radio waves or electrical noise in the frequency used by the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly may reduce the size of the operation area and the wireless door lock control may not function.
- When the transmitter battery is weak, the size of the operation area is reduced and the wireless door lock control may not function.
HINT:
- If the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly has been left in a place that is exposed to direct sunlight, such as on the instrument panel, it may cause the transmitter battery to be weakened or cause other related problems.
- Do not place the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly near magnetic equipment, such as digital audio players, induction cookers, medical devices that generate low-frequency electromagnetic waves, etc.
- Multi channel function
The wireless door lock control system has a multi channel function. Each time the switch on the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is pressed, the channel is switched alternately between 2 different frequencies and the signal is sent to the door control receiver.
