Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [02/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-21 (CA1H) - A31-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      A31-7 (CA3P) - A31-20 (CA3N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-12 (E01) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A31-11 (E02) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A30-3 (E1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A31-34 (E12) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-35 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      A30-27 (BATT) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      A29-11 (+B1) - Body ground Auxiliary battery voltage applied to terminal A29-5 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
      A30-1 (+B2) - Body ground

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
