Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
  2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.

    2. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
  4. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    • Perform this procedure only when replacement of the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is necessary.
    • If the tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.
    1. Remove the 2 tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies.
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 
    1. Remove the exhaust pipe support from the No. 3 exhaust pipe support bracket.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 exhaust pipe support bracket from the body.

  7. REMOVE NO. 6 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 
    1. Remove the exhaust pipe support from the No. 6 exhaust pipe support bracket.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 6 exhaust pipe support bracket from the body.

  8. REMOVE NO. 7 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 
    1. Remove the exhaust pipe support from the No. 7 exhaust pipe support bracket.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 7 exhaust pipe support bracket from the body.
