DTC B1642: Side Satellite Sensor Bus Lost Communication (RH); DTC B1643: Side Satellite Sensor Bus Initialization Error (RH) [02/2019 - 08/2020]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly RH.

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Using a service wire, connect terminals 25 (BBR+) and 26 (BBR-) of connector B.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Connect the connector to the airbag ECU assembly.
*1 No. 2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH *2 Airbag ECU Assembly - Interchange the No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs.

- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Return the No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

DTC B1647 or B1648 is output
REPLACE NO. 2 SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
