DTC B1635: Curtain Shield Airbag Sensor (LH); DTC B1637: Curtain Shield Airbag Sensor Lost Communication (LH) [02/2019 - 08/2020]: Procedure
- CHECK NO. 2 SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH
- Turn the ignition switch off.
*1 No. 2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH *2 Airbag ECU Assembly - Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Interchange the No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs.

Result
Proceed to DTC B1635 or B1637 is output DTC B1630 or B1632 is output DTCs B1630, B1632, B1635 and B1637 are not output HINT:
Codes other than DTC B1630, B1632, B1635 and B1637 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Return the No. 2 side airbag sensor assembly RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
Result:
DTC B1635 or B1637 is output
REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]
Result:
DTC B1630 or B1632 is output
REPLACE NO. 2 SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]
Result:
DTCs B1630, B1632, B1635 and B1637 are not output
