Front Side Marker Light Circuit [02/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK LIGHTS 
    1. Check the illumination of each front side marker light.

      Result

      LH side front side marker light does not illuminate A
      RH side front side marker light does not illuminate B

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Clearance Light Parking lights OFF or ON -

      Body Electrical > AFS > Active Test

      OK

      Front side marker light illuminates.

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [02/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2020 - 12/2021] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH AND BULB SOCKET (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE) LH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

    2. Interchange the bulb socket (front side marker light socket and wire) LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REPLACEMENT [02/2019 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

  4. CHECK OPERATION (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT) 
    1. Check the operation of front side marker light.

      Result

      LH side front side marker light does not illuminate A
      RH side front side marker light does not illuminate B

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

  5. CHECK BULB SOCKET (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE) LH 
    1. Interchange the bulb socket (front side marker light socket and wire) LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REPLACEMENT [02/2019 - ]

      Result

  6. CHECK OPERATION (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT) 
    1. Check the operation of front side marker light.

      Result

      LH side front side marker light does not illuminate A
      RH side front side marker light does not illuminate B

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

    REPLACE BULB SOCKET (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE) LH. Refer to  REPLACEMENT [02/2019 - ] 

  7. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS (Sub) / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > AFS (Sub) > Active Test

  8. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH AND BULB SOCKET (FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE) RH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

    2. Interchange the bulb socket (front side marker light socket and wire) RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REPLACEMENT [02/2019 - ]
