High Beam Headlight Circuit [11/2018 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK LIGHTS 
    1. Check the illumination of each high beam lights.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      LH side high beam light does not illuminate A
      RH side high beam light does not illuminate B

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Active Test

      Headlight High Beam High beam headlights OFF or ON -

      High beam headlights turn on.

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      for Triple Beam Headlight:

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 10/2022]

      for Single Beam Headlight:

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 12/2021]

      Result

  4. CHECK OPERATION (HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHT) 
    1. Check that the high beam headlight operates normally.

      OK

      High beam headlight operates normally.

      NG (for Single Beam Headlight)

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

    NG (for Triple Beam Headlight) 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 10/2022]

    NG (for Single Beam Headlight)

  5. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

    *a Component without harness connected
    (to Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)    		 *b Component without harness connected
    (to Headlight LED Unit Assembly LH)
    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 12/2021]

    2. Remove the headlight LED unit assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Condition Specified Condition
      B-20 (HI SOL+) - C-5 R Always Below 1 Ω
      B-11 (HI SOL-) - C-10 B Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT LED UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [02/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 12/2021] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [02/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 12/2021] 

  6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling (Sub) / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling (Sub) > Active Test

  9. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the headlight assembly RH.

    2. Remove the headlight LED unit assembly RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
