Steering Pad Switch Circuit [08/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2020 - ]

   Result

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [08/2020 - ]

   Result

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]

1. Disconnect the G3 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G20 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-21 (SW1) - G20-12 (AU1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-22 (SW2) - G20-5 (AU2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-24 (SWG) - G20-4 (EAU)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-21 (SW1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G3-22 (SW2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
