Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY MAIN WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      for 7 Inch Multi-information Display Type

    2. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G18-9 (CANH) - G18-25 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G140-31 (CANH) - G140-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G18-23 (ES) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G141-2 (ES) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      for 7 Inch Multi-information Display Type

    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G18-22 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      G18-38 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G141-5 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      G141-6 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

    Result:

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [10/2023 - ]

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G18-23 (ES) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:
