Clearance Warning ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

      *A for TMC Made
      *B for TMMC Made
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR TMC MADE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-17 (R1) - H4-18 (R2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      FOR TMMC MADE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G25-17 (R1) - G25-18 (R2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR TMC MADE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-28 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      FOR TMMC MADE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G25-28 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      FOR TMC MADE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H4-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      FOR TMMC MADE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G25-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - ]
