DTC B1500-13: Fuel Sender Circuit Open; DTC B1501-13: Sub Fuel Sender Circuit Open [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (METER / GAUGE SYSTEM) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

      Only DTC B1501-13 is output C

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K38-1 (FV) - G16-15 (FV) Always Below 1 Ω
      K38-3 (FS) - G16-14 (FR) Always Below 1 Ω
      K38-2 (FE) - G16-33 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω
      K38-1 (FV) or G16-15 (FV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
