Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- Refer to "PRECAUTION" before handling the airbag system components.

- Do not allow harness and connectors to interfere or get tangled up with other parts. They could cause poor continuity.
- Refer to "PRECAUTION" before handling the airbag system components.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]
- REMOVE CENTER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 - REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 - REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 - REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
*a Illumination off - - - Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.

- Remove the nuts, and remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.
