Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the I56 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I56-13 (CANH) - I56-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the I55 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I55-1 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I55-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      I55-15 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      I56-19 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    NG
