DCM Communication Stop Mode [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the I143 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I143-25 (CANP) - I143-26 (CANN) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER))

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I143-20 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to DCM (Telematics Transceiver))
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I143-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      I143-19 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022]
