Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop Mode [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY MAIN LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the I4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-9 (CANH) - I4-25 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-19 (EP) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      I4-23 (ES) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Combination Meter Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I4-22 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      I4-38 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022]

    Result: 

    NG
