Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A151-5 (CANH) - A151-19 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A151-46 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A151-14 (GND2) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Brake Actuator Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A151-1 (+BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A151-30 (+BS) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A151-36 (IGR) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM (BACKUP BOOST CONVERTER CIRCUIT) 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [11/2022 - ]
