Clearance Warning ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I24-17 (R1) - I24-18 (R2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I24-31 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I24-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10.5 to 16 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO STOP AND START SYSTEM (BACKUP BOOST CONVERTER CIRCUIT) 

    Refer to Backup Boost Converter Circuit [11/2022 - ]
