Zero Point Calibration of Steering Angle Sensor Initialization Malfunction (X208A) [09/2021 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Using the GTS, perform the Health Check.

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2021 - 11/2022]

  2. CHECK STEERING SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 30 km/h (19 mph) or more for at least 5 seconds.
    2. Check that the slip indicator light turns off.

      Result

  3. CLEAR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) 
    1. Using the GTS, clear the Vehicle Control History (RoB).

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility

      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    END 

  4. ADJUST WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Adjust the alignment (toe) of the wheels.

      for Front: Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2021 - 11/2022]

      for Rear (for 2WD) : Refer to INSPECTION [09/2021 - ]

      for Rear (for AWD) : Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2021 - 11/2022]

  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF STEERING SENSOR 
    1. Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 30 km/h (19 mph) or more for at least 5 seconds.
