CHECK BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION CONDITION

Check installation condition of the battery state sensor assembly.

INSTALL THE BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. Refer to INSTALLATION [04/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2019 -]

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

Check that the battery state sensor assembly connector is securely connected.
OK

The connector is securely connected.
Disconnect the P8 battery state sensor assembly connector.
Check the connector case and terminals for deformation or corrosion.
OK

No deformation or corrosion.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY - AUXILIARY BATTERY)

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

Disconnect the A23 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
Disconnect the P8 battery state sensor assembly connector.
Disconnect the C66 compressor with motor assembly connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance

P8-2 (LIN), A23-17 (LIN3) or C66-3 (DOUT) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

CLEAR DTCS

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the Techstream on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs

Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

CLEAR DTCS (AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM)

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.
Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs

Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.

Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait for 17 minutes or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

Check for DTCs.

Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes
