DTC P0011-00: Camshaft Position "A" - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 1 [04/2018 -]: Procedure

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0011-00) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
    5. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P0011-00 is output A
      DTC P0011-00 and other DTCs are output B

      HINT: 

      If any DTCs other than P0011-00 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [04/2018 - 08/2019]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2020 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2021 -] 

    Result: 

    A

  2. REPLACE CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the camshaft timing gear assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [04/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [08/2019 -]

      HINT: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the camshaft timing gear assembly.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2021 -]

  3. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Remove the EFI-MAIN NO. 4 fuse from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly and wait for at least 60 seconds.

      HINT: 

      Clear the DTC without using the Techstream.

    2. Reinstall the EFI-MAIN NO. 4 fuse.

  4. CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED 
    1. Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in the Confirmation Driving Pattern.
    2. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
    3. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC P0011-00 is output B
