DTC P0195-15: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [08/2019 -]: Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)HINT:
Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition C74-3 (VC) - C74-2 (GND) Power switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V C74-4 (TOUT) - C74-2 (GND) Power switch on (IG) 0.54 to 4.86 V - Turn the power switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition C74-2 (GND) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 Ω C74-3 (VC) - C74-4 (TOUT) Power switch off 171 to 189 kΩ Result

REPLACE OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 -]

- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
