DTC P0195-11: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Ground [04/2018 - 08/2019]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHECK FOR SHORT IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor *2 ECM - Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Engine Oil Temperature Sensor.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display Engine Oil Temperature Sensor - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

Techstream Display Specified Condition Engine Oil Temperature Sensor -40°C (-40°F) Result
Proceed to OK NG

OK
REPLACE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [04/2018 - 08/2019]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C37-1 or C55-123 (THEO) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Result
