Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2021 - ]

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap.
    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
    4. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness clamp bracket from the generator assembly.
    5. Disconnect the E.F.I. vacuum sensor assembly (manifold absolute pressure sensor) connector.
    6. Disengage the clamp.
    7. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and generator assembly.
