DRAIN TRANSFER OIL

REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
SUPPORT TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21
REMOVE NO. 3 FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
REMOVE REAR NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

SUPPORT TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

Tilt the transmission assembly until the transfer assembly can be removed.
NOTE:
Do not damage the wire harness, pipe or surrounding parts.

Support the transfer assembly with a transmission jack.

NOTE:

Secure the transfer assembly to the transmission jack using a belt, etc. to prevent it from falling.

DISCONNECT TRANSFER BREATHER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the 2 transfer breather hose sub-assemblies and detach the 2 clamps.

REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

Remove the 8 bolts and 2 clamps.

Clamp

Remove the transfer assembly from the transmission assembly.
NOTE:
Do not damage the lip of the transfer adaptor oil seal.

REMOVE TRANSFER CASE LOWER PROTECTOR

Remove the 4 bolts and transfer case lower protector.
