Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    NOTE:

    Removing the lower steering column cover in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

    1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    2. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

    3. Remove the screw.

    4. Push the left side of the lower steering column cover and disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Push
    5. Push the right side of the lower steering column cover and disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the lower steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides to separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly from the upper steering column cover.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the upper steering column cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      If the claw is pulled with excessive force, it may break.
