Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  5. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  14. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  15. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  17. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  19. REMOVE NO. 3 BATTERY SERVICE COVER BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  20. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
  21. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  11

  22. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  24. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  26. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  27. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  28. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  29. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for LH Side) 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Protective Tape
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket.
  30. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for RH Side) 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Disengage the 3 guides.
    4. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Protective Tape
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Remove the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket.
  31. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Hold the rear seat outer belt assembly with bracket in a vise between aluminum plates.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Remove the nut.

    3. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat outer belt assembly from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly.
