Removal [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    ' PRECAUTION [07/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [12/2021 - 10/2022]

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  6. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
  7. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  9. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. for Front Passenger Seat Belt with Selectable Force Limiter:

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release
      1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the selectable force limiter connector.

        HINT: 

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Remove the bolt.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seat outer belt assembly.
  12. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly is necessary.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
