Installation [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly is necessary.

    1. Engage the guide and temporarily install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the bolt (A) and then the bolt (B) to install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Install the front seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    3. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Securely lock the locking button.

    4. for Front Passenger Seat Belt with Selectable Force Limiter:

      1. Connect the selectable force limiter connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Securely lock the locking button.

    5. Connect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

    6. Check that the ELR locks.
      NOTE:

      This check should be performed with the front seat outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle.

      1. With the front seat outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
      2. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.
  4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [10/2022 - ]

  5. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [10/2022 - ]

  6. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf/cm, 31 ft.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the lap belt outer anchor cover.
  8. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [10/2022 - ]

  10. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53 [10/2022 - ]

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  13. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2020 - ]

  14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [07/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2022 - ]
