DTC B009E-87: Right Side Restraints Sensor 5 Missing Message [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs.
Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes
Result
Proceed to DTCs B0098-87 and B009E-87 are output DTC B009E-87 is output DTCs B0098-87 and B009E-87 are not output

DTCs B0098-87 and B009E-87 are output
GO TO DTC B0098-87. Refer to DTC B0098-87: Right Side Restraints Sensor 3 Missing Message [07/2020 - 10/2022]

- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly RH and side airbag pressure sensor RH.
OK
The connectors are properly connected.

Proceed to OK NG

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR OPEN IN THE CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly RH connector.

(to Side Airbag Pressure Sensor RH) - Disconnect the side airbag pressure sensor RH connector.
- Using a service wire, connect terminals 2 (BDR+) and 1 (BDR-) of connector C.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K53-1 (BDR+) - K53-2 (BDR-) Always Below 1 Ω - Disconnect the service wire from connector C.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- Disconnect the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly RH connector.
- CHECK SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR RH
- Connect the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly RH connector.
*1 Side Airbag Pressure Sensor LH *2 Side No. 2 Airbag Sensor Assembly RH *3 Wire Harness - Interchange the side airbag pressure sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in memory.
Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs.

Proceed to DTC B009E-87 is output DTC B009B-87 is output HINT:
Codes other than DTCs B009B-87 and B009E-87 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Return the side airbag pressure sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
Result:
DTC B009E-87 is output
REPLACE SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]

DTC B009B-87 is output
REPLACE SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR RH. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]
- Connect the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly RH connector.
