Reassembly [07/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper extension sub-assembly LH is necessary.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper lower absorber is necessary.
- INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 1 engine under cover is necessary.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 64
- INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 2 front bumper reinforcement is necessary.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly is necessary.
- INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
HINT:
For Type A:
- When replacing the No. 2 front bumper energy absorber with new one:
Remove the front bumper pads as the front bumper pads will contact the No. 2 front bumper energy absorber.
See step 30
- When replacing the front bumper cover with new one:
Replace the No. 2 front bumper energy absorber with new one.
- When replacing the No. 2 front bumper energy absorber with new one:
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper side retainer LH is necessary.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER
- INSTALL PIN HOLD CLIP
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD (w/ Front Bumper Pad)
HINT:
When installing the front bumper pad, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.
Heating Temperature
Item Temperature Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.
- Clean the front bumper cover surface.
- Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.
- Remove any double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Install a new front bumper pad.
- Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.
- Remove the release paper from the front bumper pad.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Install the 2 front bumper pads as shown in the illustration.
*a Scribed Line - - HINT:
- Install the front bumper pad along the scribed line on the front bumper cover.
- Press the front bumper pad firmly to install it.
- INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD PAD LH
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD PAD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ARM HOLE COVER LH
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ARM HOLE COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM
- INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE BRACKET
- INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL
- INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING
- INSTALL LOWER SIDE RADIATOR GRILLE LH (for Type A)
- INSTALL LOWER SIDE RADIATOR GRILLE RH (for Type A)
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER BRACKET RH
- INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING
- INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SIDE MOULDING LH
- INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SIDE MOULDING RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET
- INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE
- INSTALL FOG LIGHT SEAL
HINT:
When installing the fog light seal, heat the front bumper assembly using a heat light.

- Clean the front bumper cover surface.
- Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.
- Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the fog light seal installation area.
Primer NOTE:- Use a clean brush or felt.
- Do not touch the front bumper assembly until the primer has dried.
- Remove the release paper from a new fog light seal.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Install the fog light seal as shown in the illustration.
*a Line HINT:
- Install the fog light seal along the line on the front bumper cover.
- Press the fog light seal firmly to install it.
- INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH
- INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
