Removal [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE ROOF RACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape around the roof rack assembly.

    2. Remove the 5 nuts.

    3. Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Front Roof Rack Retainer
      *a Protective Tape
      *b Double-sided Tape
      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      If the roof rack assembly has been removed, replace the clip with a new one.

    4. Disengage the front roof rack retainer and separate the double-sided tape to remove the roof rack assembly as shown in the illustration.
  3. REMOVE ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH PAD 

    HINT: 

    When removing the roof side rail garnish pad, heat the front roof side garnish sub-assembly and roof side rail garnish pad using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Front Roof Side Garnish Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Roof Side Rail Garnish Pad
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the front roof side garnish sub-assembly and roof side rail garnish pad excessively.

    1. Remove the roof side rail garnish pad as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE FRONT ROOF RACK RETAINER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration to remove the front roof rack retainer.

      Remove in this Direction
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE ROOF GARNISH LID 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 side roof garnish lid.

      Remove in this Direction
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE ROOF GARNISH LID 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 2 side roof garnish lid.

  7. REMOVE NO. 3 SIDE ROOF GARNISH LID 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 3 side roof garnish lid.

  8. REMOVE FRONT ROOF RACK LEG 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the clip and guide to remove the front roof rack leg.

  9. REMOVE REAR ROOF RACK LEG 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the clip and guide to remove the rear roof rack leg.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR ROOF RACK LEG 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the No. 2 rear roof rack leg.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOF CARRIER SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 2 roof carrier seal, heat the front roof rack leg, rear roof rack leg and No. 2 roof carrier seal using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    WARNING:

    Do not heat the front roof rack leg, rear roof rack leg and No. 2 roof carrier seal excessively.

    1. For Front Side:
      1. Remove the 2 No. 2 roof carrier seals.

    2. For Center:
      1. Remove the 2 No. 2 roof carrier seals.

    3. For Rear Side:
      1. Remove the No. 2 roof carrier seal.
