DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Check the problem symptoms.

      Result

      LH side front turn signal light does not blink A
      LH side rear turn signal light does not blink B
      RH side front turn signal light does not blink C
      RH side rear turn signal light does not blink D

    Result:

  2. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  3. CHECK LH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH and RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

    2. Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    3. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      LH side front turn signal light operates normally A
      Problem symptoms do not change
      (LH side front turn signal light does not blink)      		 B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A95 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the E16 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A95-2 (B) - E16-11 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A95-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. CHECK LH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Remove the headlight front turn signal LED LH and RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    2. Interchange the headlight front turn signal LED LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    3. Connect the A95 headlight assembly LH connector.
    4. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the LH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      LH side front turn signal light operates normally A
      Problem symptoms do not change
      (LH side front turn signal light does not blink)      		 B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LED LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ] 

  7. INSPECT REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT LED LH 

    Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT LED LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    OK

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S6-2 (B) - E16-10 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      S6-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  9. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  10. CHECK RH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Remove the headlight assembly RH and LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

    2. Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.
    3. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side front turn signal light operates normally.

    1. Disconnect the A94 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the E16 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A94-2 (B) - E16-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A94-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  13. CHECK RH SIDE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Remove the headlight front turn signal LED RH and LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    2. Interchange the headlight front turn signal LED RH with LH and connect the connectors.
    3. Connect the A94 headlight assembly RH connector.
    4. Operate the turn signal switch and check that the RH side front turn signal light operates normally.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      RH side front turn signal light operates normally A
      Problem symptoms do not change
      (RH side front turn signal light does not blink)      		 B

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LED RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

  14. INSPECT REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT LED RH

    REPLACE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT LED RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

  15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S5-2 (B) - E16-13 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      S5-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]
