Inspection [07/2020 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(Light Control Rheostat)Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (UP) - 3 (E) Up switch pushed Below 1 Ω Up switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 4 (DOWN) - 3 (E) Down switch pushed Below 1 Ω Down switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
- Illumination Inspection
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the light control rheostat and check that it illuminates.
OK
Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-)Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the light control rheostat and check that it illuminates.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
